Hay Festival has brought together writers from around the world to debate and share stories at its festival in the staggering beauty of the Welsh Borders. Hay celebrates great writing from poets and scientists, lyricists and comedians, novelists and environmentalists, and the power of great ideas to transform our way of thinking.

Brecon Jazz Festival : Fri 7 – Sun 9 Aug 2020

The Brecon Jazz Festival is a music festival held annually in Brecon and has played host to a range of jazz musicians from across the world.

In addition to the various Jazz Concerts there’ll be music in the cafes and streets of Brecon, market stalls and a weekend road closure, with Saturday Carnival parade.

Fire in the Mountain: 29th – 31st May 2020

Royal Welsh Show, will be held on 20 – 23 July 2020 at the showground in Llanelwedd.

Along with an exciting four-days of livestock competitions, with entries travelling from far and wide to compete, the show has something to interest everyone through its wide range of activities including forestry, horticulture, crafts, countryside sports, shopping, food and drink and a 12-hour programme each day of exciting entertainment, attractions and displays.

Solarsphere: 14th – 17 th August 2020

Solarsphere is a small, family friendly star camp held in the beautiful Welsh countryside. We aim to educate the curious, the beginner and the more experienced amateur about various aspects of the Cosmos via talks and workshops.

Presteigne Festival: 27 August – 01 September 2020

The Presteigne Festival takes place each August, with six music-filled days spanning the Bank Holiday period. Well-known for presenting a fresh, carefully balanced combination of contemporary music, twentieth-century classics and masterpieces from the standard repertoire, the Festival also continues to develop a wide-ranging programme of supporting events which features film, literature and exhibitions presented in association with the Sidney Nolan Trust.
